I’m thinking of Hunter S. Thompson when I call the stories that make up this play, “Gonzo history.” I told ten stories before live audiences at Cheap Theater in Minneapolis, MN. Cheap Theater has a storytelling evening scheduled once a month, Feb-June and Sept-Dec. The first story was told Feb 18th 2017 and the final chapter on March 18th 2019. What I call my Spoken Story Book, starts with the first time I went backpacking in the wilderness and ends 46 years later with the last night I worked for the National Park Service. Two of the stories in Ranger Jim came from those evenings but the third story, The Miracles of Wow, was first told at the National Storytelling Festival.
